Hanvon TouchPad B10 availability and F10 updates

I got a letter from Hanvon updating the information about their tablets. Unlike the HP slate, they are not terminated.

Hanvon TouchPad B10 ( BC10C Intel ULV743 at 1.3Ghz multitouch )

It's in volume production now, shipping end of May in China, June in EU. No word about US sales yet. It will be yours for 699 euros from EU retailers.

We should get more info about the sellers and dates soon.

Hanvon Touchpad F10 ( Intel®Atom Z530 at 1.6GHz electromagnetic )

It's not yet in volume production, it might take 2 to 3 months before that happens.

It won't have multitouch, it has electromagnetic screen which works only with supplied pen.

It will cost "much less" than B10. Again, we should get the dates and numbers soon.

There will/might be a version with both capacitive multitouch and electromagnetic screen in future.

Both tablets have mouse pointer too..

Nice news! Thanks a lot! So, i hope the F10 will be available for about september. Just in time for the next year university courses! It's a bit sad that it won't have a kind of touchscreen, either single touch or multitouch.

Any idea what the story is on the Hanvon BC10C's for sale on Ebay are about? I asked for more pictures from the sellers and it's the same form factor, but it says ThinkPad or something on the front of it, not Hanvon.

Just checking...so the F10 is the name for the tablet called the BA10E tablets at CeBIT 2010? And neither device has both a touchscreen and an active digitizer? Is that correct

Let Hanavon know we want the f10 tablet with both types of inputs JKK!

I'm also looking for a tablet with an active digitizer. I'll be looking forward to the release of the F10- with or without touch capability.

you all should check out the "Orphan P88" tablet review

The Orphan P88 is (I think) exactly the same as the Jumper JK01-TT. At least the one very stupid thing the both have in common is: lack of bluetooth! How on earth is one going to release a device currently without bluetooth?!

They advertise the device as being available with GPS as well (so I was somewhat interested) however, then I learned that it is a seperate GPS receiver that connects to the bluetooth dongle that is delivered along with it.

No, I'd rather wait for this nice Hanvon and hope it is available soon!

I don't know about your Chinese, but there is definately some movement on:

Even front page news:

Also nice to see the difference between the B10-G01 and the B10 (which is the 250 GB or the 320 GB disk).

Available for order if you know how to do it:

There is also another page where it is up for order, but Google mentions it has no access to translate the page.

According to he german Hanvon website, the Touchpads B10 and F10 will be available in August... That's still a long way to go... damn...

The chinese Website also lists a Touchpad B20, featuring an Atom CPU and an electromagnetic screen.

Hi Deepan,

I just checked with someone from www.yoybuy.com. There seems to be no English at all for the Hanvon. No English books, no software etc. That probably is not a huge problem.

But I was wondering.... Is there a remote chance that you create an unboxing and first review video and put it on youtube? I would really very much appreciate that! (And I think I will not be the only one!)

I saw Hanvon BC10-BC (2GB RAM, 320GB HDD, multitouch) in OfficeWorks (Australia) catalogue, for sale at AUD$898.00 (15-06-2010)

Deepan said...

Hi Plantje, I can email the unboxing part i took with my camera.

Plantje said...

That would be really great Deepan! Could you send it to rudi_hendrix@hotmail.com?

Anonymous said...

Can I please see the unboxing part aswell? Pls lexusgtl@hotmail.com

Plantje said...

I think Deepan is a little bit busy (or playing a lot with his Hanvon! :)) as I didn't receive the unboxing yet.
Obviously I am happy to share it with you as soon as I have it!

The BC10 was on sale during the SINOCES exhibition over the weekend at RMB5999 (USD885). Just picked one up and from the discussion that I have with their rep someone from Germany just ordered 500 units of it.

I love in Australia and know that it is available in certain areas...

Anonymous said...

It's over $1,000.00 USD and that's not counting shipping. The pictures I've seen look like it's very heavy for a tablet, more like a laptop. I would like to play with one but would not buy it.

I bought my one from Australia,
One of the best tablets I have bought in a while,
My iiview is on sale now on eBay long eighths iPad,
I found no weight issue while using it with one hand,
Runs great,
Playback hd without any problems ,
The cells on the battery are replaceable so once done can push up battery life to 5/6 hrs
