CRAP!!!! I have been thinking about replacing my 901 with one of these, and when I saw the video yesterday about multi touch I was going to do it for sure. Sucks that will need to wait for a different version...Thanks for grabbing the information though.

Same here... I was going to buy as soon as available, but now I have to wait. This sounds more like an artificial limitation (perhaps Microsoft making them wait for Win7 release) than a technical or manufacturing hurdle.

who provides the touchscreen capabilities, is it n-trig?

and is it a capacitive, and how sensitive is it?

I'll be waiting for the windows 7 version then. Looks good.

WOW! That just made me decide to wait until Windows 7. I love multi-touch on my iphone. I'm a high resolution freak myself, yet I could live with a lower resolution screen if it had multi-touch. That's why I've avoided the 1024x600 netbooks. I hate that resolution, but with multi-touch I could live with it. I mean even the iphone with its low resolution is completely function, unlike a windows XP/WM6/Vista device with 1024x600.

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. I'm preparing now to sell all my non-multi-touch computers. :)

Any idea on the price difference between Multi touch tablest vs. Non-multi touch tablets? BTW congrats on have ur video splashed all over the teck sites, good publicity!!

Resolution is too small, it's nice for just netbook but it's awful to write on that screen. 1200 - minimum, or it's not very good for notes, drawing, just a toy.. like iPhone

can someone help me?
afaik multi-touch is only possible on cappacitive touchscreens, which meant it couldn`t been utilized with a pen.
am i wrong? i wouldn`t want a touchscreen i can`t write or draw on.

you could still use a pen, but they have to be 'special' stylus, in which case I would hope they would have some method to attach it to the device itself. (the number of stylus' i've gone through on my WM phone!)

Nope, it is resistive... you can use any pen or fingernail.
